Plan Ahead for a Successful Year-End


Yes, that's a Christmas Tree. Why now? Well, you probably know that most non-profits raise 25%-50% of total donations during the last quarter of the month, with the majority in December, right? So now is a good time to start planning your year-end campaigns.


Do you know how to use the tools available to you? Do you understand which tools to use to engage donors of different ages? Do you know when to start your asks and how to make them convincing? Are you ready to start building momentum at the beginning of September?

Start by putting together a calendar that includes tailored focus areas for different dates, special dates, and holidays and builds momentum to and through year-end. Then stock of all the tools available to you - social media, email, etc., and the resources you'll need - manpower, state and federal tax donation information, prizes and promo items to encourage donors. Finally, map it out in a shareable calendar with goals that fit your organization and your needs.
